For an International Organization in Brussels, we are looking for a full-time Residence Manager. You will be working for a family of expats and will be responsible for the running of a smooth household for the family. This includes helping with planning and executing official business events that will take place in the residence of the family on behalf of the international organization.
You will be responsible for the supervision of other staff members working in the residence, management of the calendar of the residence and the organization and oversight and maintenance of the property. This includes coordination with the family in terms of their daily needs and any upcoming business events and the guest list. You supervise the staff, making sure they are aware of upcoming events and their tasks and duties. If needed, you step in to help the other staff with their duties and responsibilities. You monitor their time and attendance and make sure to counsel in case there are any problems, to maintain a good atmosphere and motivation. You are responsible for the recruitment, coordination and management of any additional staff for official business events. You also ensure any maintenance or repair is done in the residence when needed. You maintain the financial records of the residence and any expenditures.
We are looking for someone that has a minimum of five-year experience in a similar position or in a well-recognized hotel, with a college education with vocational training in office/hotel administration. It is important to be tactful, discrete and have good diplomacy and interpersonal skills. Good working knowledge of English (level III) as well as either French or Dutch is required for the job. You need to be in possession of a driver’s license.
